The class will be held at Hotel Europa. (https://www.zanhotel.it/en/hotel-europa-bologna – bookinghoteleuropa@zanhotel.it) close to the City Centre. We have agreed on a cost for rooms for our students. For a double room single use, the cost is 110 euros per night for bed and breakfast, plus an additional 4 euros for city taxes. Just remember to tell the reception when you book the room that you will participate in the “Corso Wellness”. The better option is to send an email to bookinghoteleuropa@zanhotel.it and don’t forget to mention “Corso Wellness”.  Alternatively, we suggest booking in the city center, to fully enjoy the evenings in Bologna. For hotel, B&B or flat you will find plenty of internet options. For your information, previous students reported they had a wonderful stay at Best Western Hotel San Donato and advised against Mercure-Centro Hotel.

Here are some suggestions for moving from the airport to the city center and taking the bus.

From Bologna airport you can get the “Marconi express” (also called “People mover” – https://www.marconiexpress.it/en/) to the Train station (more details here: https://www.marconiexpress.it/en/tickets/fares/). The Pay&Go Contactless service is offered. The hotel is within walking distance from the Train station. You might also consider taking a taxi from the airport to your hotel; it is not far away. We have no experience, but we think the cost shouldn’t be more than 30 euro. In case, let us know the price, it can be helpful for future students.

Since Bologna is not a huge town, you can walk from one side to the other of the city in 40,’ but If you plan to move by bus, you have options for buying tickets. A single ticket costs € 1.5 from “Tabacchi (tobacco shops)” and “ Edicole (Newspaper kiosk)”,  or onboard using the contactless card. The price is € 2 on board in cash. Alternatively, you may buy a “City pass”. It is a 10 runs ticket; it costs 14 euros and 10 runs are included. Remember to validate the ticket on board at each run.

Please contact us if you have any questions!

Looking forward to meeting you all in Bologna,

Raffaele & Gian Luigi
